What a straightforward move looks like

  • Two movers and a truck at $250 an hour for units, townhouses and small houses with easy access. Three movers at $350 when there's a full house of furniture or a staircase in the story.
  • Beds down last, beds up first. The load order is planned so the essentials come off the truck first at the other end.
  • Everything soft-wrapped. Blankets and stretch film are standard, not an upgrade. Mattresses travel in covers, screens travel in cartons.
